World Event Young Artist (WEYA), Nottingham

On Tuesday I’ll be heading down to Nottingham to be part of the World Event Young Artist : 1000 artists, 100 nations, 10 days. During this time, Nottingham will play host to a wealth of performers, artists, storytellers and more in the final event for the Cultural Olympiad.

As part of this event, the Anna Lindh Foundation has a two day event which support inter-cultural dialogue. I’ll be speaking as part of a one-day symposium as a representative of the republic of the Imagination and their work with using Context Orientated Theatre to help empower individuals (personally and socially) and for cultural and social change. I’m really excited to be attending and very much looking forward to meeting with the other contributors and participants.

I’ll post on what happens afterwards. In the meantime, I’m hoping for a good run on public transport to get there me there!
